Jim Hughes

Having joined us in November 2021, Jim was until recently the newest vet in the practice. Having graduated from the Dick Vet in Edinburgh in 1986. He started his career as predominantly a large animal practitioner in the Lake District and then after a brief sojourn in Cornwall he joined a mixed practice in Bridgwater where he remained until 2021.

In his spare time, Jim is finding his way around Bristol and Bath on his bike and does a bit of volunteering. For the last three years he has been the chair of BSAVA Petsavers which is part of the British Small Animal Veterinary Association. Petsavers provides funding for clinical research into the diseases of companion animals.
