Jim Hughes

Jim may be the “old man” of the practice, but he’s only been with us since November 2021! He graduated from the Dick Vet School in Edinburgh in 1986 and began his career as a large animal vet in the Lake District. After a brief stint in Cornwall, he settled in Bridgwater, where he worked as a partner in a mixed practice until 2021. Now in this area, Jim spends his free time exploring by bike—though only when the weather cooperates!

Jim has volunteered with the British Small Animal Veterinary Association for the last ten years and currently serves as Honorary Treasurer, supporting BSAVA Petsavers to fund research into companion animal diseases.
