Mia Barnes

Since childhood, Mia has had a deep passion for working with animals. Her journey in the veterinary field began at age 15, with her first work experience in the industry. After completing school in 2019, Mia pursued her Level 3 Animal Management diploma in college. Following two years of dedicated study, she gained valuable hands-on experience as a Veterinary Care Assistant before joining Emersons Green Vets in 2022 as a Student Veterinary Nurse—a decision she calls her best yet!

Mia shares her home with Alf, her lively fox red Labrador, and Raptor, her crested gecko. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her animals, hitting the gym, and relaxing with her boyfriend. While she loves all things feline, Mia has special interests in animal behavior, reptiles, birds, and inpatient care.
