As a member of the CAPBT, Clair is one of Bristol's leading behaviourists and trainers. She works with dogs with behaviour problems, specialising with dogs who are reactive to other dogs. Behaviour consultations are on vet referral basis. Clair's puppy classes are run in Mangotsfield and Henfield and her levels classes concentrate on creating connections between the owners and dogs as well as teaching dogs valuable life skills. Workshops and short courses are run in specific areas such as recall, scent-work, impulse control, clicker skills and rally obedience. One-to-one home visits and training are also available.

Ruff Hounds

Ruff Hounds provides positive reward-based training in Chipping Sodbury and surrounding areas. We run puppy socialisation and training classes as well as progression courses and private one-to-one dog training. We run workshops featuring topics such as The Real Dog Yoga & Tracking. Training is provided by Caroline Wilkinson APDT, UK 01212, ICAN Certified Animal Behaviourist and ABTC Registered Animal Training Instructor.

Competent Canines

Emma is a Registered Veterinary Nurse & has been in practice since 2000. She has gained a wealth of experience throughout her Veterinary Nursing career and qualified as a professional dog trainer with the Association of Pet Dog Trainers in 2006.

Through her own dog training, behaviour & handler education business Competent Canines, she runs puppy classes & follow on courses based in Kingswood and Keynsham that are extremely popular, as well as 1-2-1 training and behaviour sessions.

Emma has competed all over the UK in dog agility to an exceptional standard & now owns two rescue dogs. She has a keen interest in helping sound sensitive dogs, dogs who lack in self confidence & child/dog safety.

Recently Emma has become an Accredited trainer & behaviourist with INTO Dogs Association and is a member of ICAN & ABTC.
