Veterinary Nurses
Sara Jackson RVN
Sara has been a resident nurse here at Emersons for 8 years now; she started as a work placement student working one day a week and studying for a BTEC Diploma in Animal Care. We were so impressed with Sara during her placement that we invited her to become a full time nurse and train with us to become a qualified Veterinary Nurse. After 4 years of hard work and training Sara passed her written and practical exams, and is now a fully qualified VN. Sara is now hoping to further her studies within the small animal dentistry field as this is a subject she has great interest and brilliant practical skills in. Sara and her partner have recently had a gorgeous little baby named Finley, she is also kept busy at home with her crazy Staffies; Douglas and Daisy and her little cat Noddy.
Claire Lee RVN
Claire joined the team in 2007 after previously working in another practice from the age of 15 years. She has just passed her final exams for veterinary nursing and hopes to explore her interest in canine behaviour and training. Claire has always loved animals from a young age but her Mum and Dad always refused to have any. That was until Claire started bringing home all the waifs and strays and the family ended up with their two cats Kizzy and Ollie. (Who they now wouldn't be without.) Claire's most recent adoption is her disabled, but very mischievous and amusing little cat Forest Gump.
Liz Randall
Liz initially became involved with the practice through work experience and voluntary work during the summer of 2006. After working as a receptionist for the surgery for a couple of years, Liz decided to further her interest in the animal world by completing the ANA course. She is now in her first year of study to become a qualified Veterinary Nurse. Liz lives in Emersons Green with her Jack Russell, Missy (who loves to visit Martin at every opportunity!)
